SEARCH: Bank It.com financial literacy

Did you know:

Only 24 percent of teens say their parents discuss money management with them?
Seventy-five percent of adults say it's important for adults to give financial guidance to children and teenagers, but only 36 percent of adults actually do so?

Search Institute and Capital One have partnered to create a financial literacy curriculum called Bank It. It delivers real-world financial topics and tools for teens and parents that make it easier to understand, talk about, and manage their money. Through an interactive web site and local face-to-face workshops, the program empowers families to explore budgets, goals, and strategies for making financial choices that count.

The extensive Bank It curriculum can be downloaded for FREE at BankIt.com.

The BankIt workshops introduce all 29 "National Standards in K-12 Personal Finance Education” from the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy. The curriculum offers three lessons for parents and three lessons for teens around each of 12 financial literacy topics (72 lessons in all), so whether your audience is youth or parents ...or both, there are resources you can use.
