Volunteers Needed in June....United Way

Throughout the month of June there is the need to fill over 800 volunteer time slots at various events in Portage County. This is a great time to get out with friends, family, coworkers, youth group or self to help make a difference in our community. Please help spread this information to others as you see fit.





Volunteers Needed:



June 5- Walk Wisconsin

Over 50 volunteers still needed throughout the day. Various projects include registration, intersection control, kids walk and food tent.


June 9,10, 11- Special Olympics

Several hundred volunteers needed to help out during the state wide games being held in Stevens Point in June.



June 19- 32nd Infantry Brigade Homecoming Celebration.

The Wisconsin National Guard has chosen Stevens Point has the host city to celebrate these men and women’s service. Over 2,500 soldiers and their families will come from all over Wisconsin for these celebrations which include a parade and various festivities in Pfiffner Park. As the host we need volunteers to help serve these individuals and their families.

Over 80 volunteers needed for two different shifts. Shift times are 10:30 am to 2:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
